On this #NewBusinessMindset show, career coach Monica Moody talks about personal power. She helps us understand what it is, how we can embrace it, and how it can impact our lives. She tells us that we don’t need to accept the story of our lives and careers that has been scripted for us from outside, but have the authority to take control and make our own decisions. All we need to do is step into our personal power.
Lessons from the Show
Monica talked to us about personal power in her own life and offered us many wonderful lessons that point us towards an authentic, happy and fulfilling life and career including:
- The fullness of who we are is not welcome in the workplace…but it’s up to us to change that!
- We usually work on manipulating the things outside us, but owning change is about stepping back and seeing that the place of power is personal change;
- It’s time to create a new story of work that doesn’t require us getting used to and accepting the levels of stress to which many of us have been normalized.
