This is something new that I’m planning to do on roughly a monthly basis: it’s an idea taken from my good friend and adviser, Todd Schnick. Like him I am the fortunate recipient of links to wonderful content and I thought it would be nice to share some of the best of this.
Since we are in the middle of the second Atlanta shut-down of the year, it seems appropriate to begin with a commentary on the first shut-down a couple of weeks ago, a video from The Daily Show of John Stewart talking about Snowpocalypse. He starts in on Atlanta half way through the clip, and if you let it run, the commentary continues in the subsequent portion.
Moving on from the weather, here’s a beautiful piece of light relief: Touch Wood in a Japanese Forest with Bach. If you are a personal facebook friend you may have seen this already, but it’s well worth watching again.
From another good friend, Joe Garofalo, who sends me a lot of wonderful content I want to share a great article from the New York Times. For The Love of Money is by a former Wall Street banker who talks about the effect earning ridiculously large sums of money had on his perspective of the world.
To finish off this week, I was introduced to a wacky beat box flautist by my son: here is a really neat video of Greg Pottillo doing incredible things with his instrument. Ian Anderson is reborn!
